Anesthesia kits

Two complete kits for theatres and emergency departments: Macintosh 1 to 4 and Miller 00 to 4 (10 blades), an adult and a paediatric handle, 2 spare LED lamps and a strong plastic case.

Choosing the size range

Adult theatre sets usually cover blades 2 to 4 (-30) or 1 to 4 (-44); -52 adds size 5 for very large adults. Neonatal and paediatric units use the -50 sets, with sizes 00 to 3 and a smaller handle. Blade selection for each patient is always a clinical decision. See the laryngoscope blade size chart.

Frequently asked questions

What is in a laryngoscope set?

One battery handle, 3 to 5 blades, 2 spare LED lamps and a hard carry case with a foam inlay, plus a short insert with cleaning instructions. Batteries are not included.

What is the difference between a standard and a fiber optic laryngoscope set?

In a standard (conventional) set the LED lamp sits on each blade. In a fiber optic set the lamp sits in the handle and a fiber guide carries the light to the blade tip. The two systems are not interchangeable.

How do I read a GERATI set code?

The first part is the blade family and the suffix gives the blade sizes. For example, GA 102-44 is a Macintosh fiber optic interchangeable set with blades 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Are batteries included?

No. Adult handles take 2 C batteries and paediatric handles take 2 AA batteries, which buyers usually source locally.

Is there a paediatric laryngoscope set?

Yes. The -50 sets have a paediatric handle and blades 00, 0, 1, 2 and 3, in Macintosh and Miller, conventional and fiber optic.

Can I order a set with different contents?

Yes. Set contents, case and labelling can be configured for OEM and private-label orders, from 50 units per model.
